Earlier this month, the City of East Lansing hosted a listening session for community members who had been affected by flooding related to significant rain events in June and July. One of the questions raised was whether the City was eligible for any relief from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). Ultimately, the answer was no. The East Lansing City Clerk is pleased to announce that it is partnering with Michigan State University and WKAR Public Media to host an Early Voting Center on campus this fall. The EVC will open on Monday, Oct. 21 and run daily through Sunday, Nov. 3 from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. A second EVC will begin on Saturday, Oct. 26 in the Banquet Center at the East Lansing Hannah Community Center, 819 Abbot Road and run daily from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. through Sunday, Nov. 3.
